I want to say that my Heart goes out to all of those hit By Hurricane Katrina.. The devestation there is heart wrenching... I have a friend who was very lucky and did not get hit as hard. Her home is outside of Mobile and her family is doing well... As I am no where nears rich, I have donated money to the Red Cross.. I was unable with surgery to donate blood .. Wish there was more I could do.. I watch the News and just want to cry Knowing these people have lost so much. and to those who have lost family members and loved ones. I send Healing energies to them all.... Please Folks, Donate what you can. I am sure every dollor helps. As the Red Cross can not take donations of clothing, Canned Goods, Furniture, or any items like that. Please If you can't donate a few dollors, Volunteer.. they need all the help they can get right now....

Looks like I owe you all a few post.. sorry I have not been here in a while. But I am here tonight. LOL.. No really I am gonna try to be here more often,

But tonight you kinda get a few post in one..
First one:
My Visit with my daughter.. Let me tell you. it was awesome..
Heres a little about a rough situation. I did not get to raise my daughter.. Nope her father raised her out in California and I am from NY.. So she grew up, YES I will say it.. a Valley Girl, Sorry Brandy. But it is true. LOL.. Well, I wasn't lucky enough to get to see her grow up. But I do give some credit to her father as she turned out to be a very wonderful person inside and out.
We had a lot of fun. This was her 2nd visit to NY, She got to go to a small county fair, be in the car with her mom when a tree limb grew up real fast and smacked the back of my car, go to her Aunts wedding, go to Niagara Falls, and of course spend her Moms money shopping at the mall. LOL... We had a Family BBQ where we made ribs and the works, and she got to Play foot ball with her 2 brothers who grew up here with me.. We had the best time.. She got on the plane in tears as was I when she left.. I miss her so much. BUT, I get to see her again this Winter when I go to CA to Visit her. We will now see each other twice a year.. She will come here in the Summer and I there in the Winter.. works for me. LOL...

Second One:
OK Now for a little funny storie.. My Hubby decided that we needed to go grocery shopping since Katrina hit so hard down south. He figured the rain would be bad here or something. Well off we go to BJ's, (same as Sam's Club or Cosco's) He spent a lot of money... Anyhows, I was standing there looking at some things decideing if I wanted them or not with 2 carts full of food when this Older woman came up to me, Looked at my caret and said:
Old Woman = Miss, How long do you think all that food will last you?
Jade = Oh About a month to 6 weeks
Old Woman = Really? you go through it that fast? is it just you and your husband?
Jade = Yes we do go through it fast, Not just 2 of us. But I also have 5 grandchildren and my son & daughter in law.
Old Woman = WOW, you do not look Old enough to have ANY grandchildren.
Jade = Thank you
We both go about our business oh for a about 10 secounds,
(10 sec pause)
Old Woman turns around looks at me and then Pats my GOOD SHOULDER and says
Old Woman = Good Luck Dear, I think your gonna need it...

at this point, if I had been sitting I would have fallen right out of my chair.. I laughed so hard I was bent over... this woman must have thought I was nuts... But I stood, got my composer back and again, said Thank you... so about 500 dollors later and a good laugh we headed home...
Now that was a good day...

Now I bet your all wondering how my shoulder is huh?
it is doing better... I still have no use of it and am in PT 3 times a week.. But I am learning to cope with the though of not having much use of it ever again.. The pain is still there and I am still taking the pain meds. But the drs. did cut the mg down. so with luck, I will be off them in about a year.. But I will be in PT for the next 2 years at best.. Looks like I see no money any time soon.. But thats OK, I need the money, But Going through VESID I should be starting school soon... so yep.. ya'll I am going to be a councler for teens of drug & alocohol and also for run aways.. Wish me luck, I think I am gonna need it. LOL...
